Develop your skills

The Visual Arts Seminar is a seven-week course that will enable students to integrate hands-on learning of visual art techniques (drawing, painting, and urban arts, for example) and Bible-based heart formation (Biblical foundations of the arts, heart purity of the artist, and creative process, for example). Course activities include teaching times, projects, studio time, one-to-one mentoring, service and ministry, life in community, and more.

What we do

During the six weeks of full lecture and one week of outreach that will be during Carnaval in Mazatlan, participants will practice art and live in a missions context; they will learn how to use their art skills to serve others and facilitate encounters with God, and be artists of integrity that honor God.

How fluent do I need to be in Spanish or English?

We are a completely bilingual campus! Meaning, speaking only Spanish or English will be more than enough.  If neither Spanish nor English is your first language, you just need to comprehend and/or speak one.  That being said, we’ve had students in the past that weren’t fluent in either of our languages, and they’ve been willing, amazing people that brought amazing life and culture to our base family. Pray about it! We don't want to hold you back if you're called here.
