Discipleship Bible School (DBS)

Available at our YWAM Mazatlan, Mazatlan campus

Dive into the Bible like never before!

The Word. The Story. Your Foundation.

Setting the foundation of your life in the Word

What if reading the Bible was the most exciting part of your day?

DBS — Discipleship Bible School is a 12-week journey through the full narrative of the Bible, discovering God’s purpose and your place in His story.

Together, we’ll explore the entire Bible — all 66 books! — following the chronological flow, learning historical context, recognizing literary genres, and practicing inductive Bible study.

The heart of DBS? Small groups — your new Bible fam. Every afternoon, we read the Word out loud together, ask questions, have deep conversations, and pray for one another.

Add amazing teachers, real community, and a whole lot of Jesus — and you’ve got the kind of foundation that can transform your life.

Let’s fall in love with God through His Word — together.

The goal of this school?

DBS goes beyond the classroom. You’ll experience learning and support through personal mentorship, small group discussions, and a community immersed in the Word together. Small groups are the heart of DBS: we explore, discuss, and grow together, making this journey an experience you’ll carry with you long after the program ends.

Successful completion of a Discipleship Training School is a prerequisite for DBS.

This is a bilingual school – English and Spanish.

We want to become people whose hearts burn for Jesus, marked by a close relationship with Him and a passion that endures.

What will you do?

• You’ll read the entire Bible—yes, from beginning to end!
• You’ll see the whole story: follow the chronology, explore different writing styles, and understand how each book complements the next.
• You’ll know the pure truth of Christianity, straight from its origins.

We develop tools to better understand challenging passages and compile biblical themes for future personal teaching. There are also opportunities for participants to become more creative and effective communicators.

If you’re ready to dive in and let your faith shine brightly, DBS awaits you!

How fluent do I need to be in Spanish or English?

We are a completely bilingual campus! Meaning, speaking only Spanish or English will be more than enough.  If neither Spanish nor English is your first language, you just need to comprehend and/or speak one.  That being said, we’ve had students in the past that weren’t fluent in either of our languages, and they’ve been willing, amazing people that brought amazing life and culture to our base family. Pray about it! We don't want to hold you back if you're called here.
