Join the Movement

Have you done your DTS and are ready for more?

For many, DTS is the beginning of the adventure with Jesus—joining staff is the extension of it. It's your chance to join a dynamic, fun-loving community that is passionate about reaching the nations for Jesus.

Throughout the year, we have four opportunities to welcome new staff to our base. Each time a new group of staff arrives, we want to make sure you have more than just a role to step into. We want to help you start well, build a healthy foundation, and grow into the person and staff member God is calling you to be.

Our staffing experience is unique. You’ll be living and working alongside passionate YWAMers from different nations, cultures, and backgrounds, all focused on one thing: “To know God and make him known."

What better way to continue your missionary journey than becoming a full-time staff member with YWAM?

Steps to Join Staff

1-1

Fill out the application form

After completing your staff application and receiving confirmation that you have been accepted to join our team, we are so excited to welcome you to the YWAM Mazatlán family!

2-1

Get equipped!

As you settle into life in Mazatlán and become part of our staff community, we intentionally set aside time to invest in you. Through our staff formation program you'll be equipped with practical tools, developed as a leader, supported as you grow, and given space to discover how God has gifted and called you to serve within our community.

3-1

Begin the adventure in full-time missions

Now that you're better equipped to pursue your missionary calling, together as YWAM Mazatlan we'll work to mobilize this generation for the Great Commission!

Why a staff formation program?

A central part of your first three months is Artios, our staff formation program.

Artios is designed to invest in you as a whole person—not just to train you for a role. Throughout the season, you'll receive teaching, leadership development, mentoring, community, and opportunities to put what you're learning into practice.

The Staff Formation Program is 3 months long divided into 2 phases.

At the halfway mark of the internship you can apply to be on staff as long as you meet the requirements. You can apply to be staff in a specific department of the base, or if undecided apply as ge

Combining Work and Class

The work training, along with the rich teaching times, will help you become fully prepared to be staff at YWAM Mazatlan.

Serve and Belong

Taking into consideration your experience, skills, strengths, and the opportunities currently available on base, you’ll serve in a role where you can make a meaningful contribution. As you grow in understanding our community and your own calling, we’ll help you discover where your gifts can be best used and developed.

Services opportunities consist of:

Serving in our student mobilization area, our hospitalility department, our kitchen and much more!

The HR department will assign your service role. You’ll be expected to work in that role for the duration of the 12 weeks.

Weekly schedule

Your day will be divided between attending campus-wide events like worship, intercession and Staff Connect, working in a service role, and going to class (in the first 5 weeks).

Staff Contribution

From the beginning of your time on staff, all staff members contribute a monthly staff contribution. The amount varies depending on factors such as whether you are joining as an individual or family and your country of origin.

During your first month, your staff contribution invoicefee will also include an additional amount for the StrengthsFinder assessment and related teaching. ($20 USD)

Financial Sustainability

All YWAM Mazatlán staff are expected to have a minimum level of monthly financial support.

If you haven't reached this level when you arrive, your Staff Formation Season gives you time and support to work toward it. The Artios team and your mentors can help you understand our support-raising expectations and walk with you as you develop your support base.
