Build Beyond
Mission
God has always used young people in radical ways throughout the Bible. David is one of the best examples—not considered by his father nor by the priest Samuel, yet chosen by God.
At YWAM Mazatlán, we are strategically positioned to gather young people from the nations, training and sending them into their God-given assignments. Young Latin Americans are hungry to be used by God, and in Mexico alone there are more than 7 million evangelical Christians under the age of 30 (2020 Mexico Census).
There is a growing wave of youth who long for community and equipping. YWAM Mazatlán is cultivating young leaders and helping this generation join the global missions movement.
Since our founding in 2004, we have been training young people in missions, giving them opportunities to express their passions through a variety of mercy-driven local ministries. Our “equip and do” model has been pivotal for empowerment and multiplication.
We build big-hearted people.
Our vision extends far beyond our city limits. We actively plant new YWAM locations across Mexico and internationally. Our ship delivers medical care and hope to isolated communities, and our passion to end Bible poverty has led us to southern Mexico, partnering with Indigenous groups to translate the Bible orally into their heart languages.
Our Story
In our 4th year in the city, God provided a hotel property in order for us to continue to grow. Then several years later, we added 2 new floors to boost capacity. God challenged us further to develop a campus to house and train thousands of young people every year.
We took God at His word and from 2020 to 2024, we raised $3.5M to purchase 5 adjacent properties to provide a footprint to construct a campus to train 3000 students a year.
Our Architects have developed a Master Plan of 5 Phases to move us towards this goal, that undergirds the vision to mobilize thousands of young people in missions, and receive hundreds of teams to bring love and hope to our city.
Our future campus will feature:

-
Multi-story buildings with more than 1,300 beds for students, teams, families, guests, and staff
-
Parking facilities for staff, students, and visitors
-
Common areas for fellowship and connection
-
Offices and classrooms for administration and training
-
Dedicated dining and worship spaces
-
3–4 retail spaces to serve and connect with the local community
-
Facilities designed to equip and mobilize thousands of students and missionaries each year
