Verano de Fuego (or Summer of Fire) is a four-week summer internship held in July. Designed for Christian youth, 14-18 years old, who want to get to know God on a deeper level and learn how to make Him known, this internship gives the participants a “taste” of missions in YWAM Mazatlan. Through structured class times, practical service on the YWAM property and weekly outreaches, the interns develop new insights into Christian mission work. These interns wrap up their month long adventure with a 10-day outreach that puts into practice all that they learned. VDF is an intense, fast-paced, life changing internship not to be missed!
Verano de Fuego is built around YWAM’s motto “To know God and make Him known”. Come spend a month in Mazatlan with us, and grow in your relationship with God!
These two weeks are full on! You'll hear a variety of teachings about different biblical truths and learn what it truly means to be in an intimate relationship with Jesus. A 'mini DTS' is what we call it and that's exactly what it is! You'll spend time in worship, prayer, exploring the city, and times of experiencing God like you never have before.
For 7-10 days you are sent out into another part of Mexico to serve and to minister! Get a taste of what it means to live as a missionary as you travel to different parts of a nation to help in an orphanage, or visit a village in the rugged mountains, or help clean and prepare a church for children's ministry everyday. You receive hands on experience, and it'll mark you forever as you learn to live a wild life for Christ.
Outreach could include, but not limited to:
A Nations - $1,000 USD
B Nations - $8,000 MXN
C Nations - $8,000 MXN
Costs are to be paid upon arrival.
