My thoughts on WISE - week two - Greg Brown - By Tasha Brito

During the second week we started lectures and Greg Brown spoke on worship. This was a really incredible time because from the beginning Greg said that he wanted the spirit to be moving through us during class and that if God gave us a word for someone, just to raise our hands, say we got a word and then tell the person. Someone had a word for me and it was the most beautiful and true word I have ever received, I felt so touched by the Lord! We also had the most incredible times of worship

WISE through the eyes of a student - week two Greg Brown - By Megan Bean

This week Greg really challenged us not to think of worship as just singing or playing music. He showed us that, in the original text, many of the words in the Bible translated to English as “worship” actually mean to lie down on the floor, humble oneself, or kiss someone's feet. And we were all challenged to look at everything we do as a form of worship, doing everything for God's glory.

And I've really been trying to look at my work duties in that light. Every morning and afternoon, my job is… Continue

My thoughts on WISE - week one - Tasha Brito a WISE student

During the first week of orientation, we decided as a school to help paint the base for the first two days. Part of me was not excited to paint, especially since I had been helping a lot the last few weeks with the base and I was eager for the school to finally start, but the other part of me knew God had something in

store for me. The second day was really hard for me because I was completely discouraged about my finances, at the time I did not have any money for WISE school, and I did not… Continue

About Me

We are only weeks away from the end of WISE 2010. Times flies when you are having fun with God! What a journey this has been. God has done so much and we have seen Him move in many new and wonderful ways.

Our week in the mountains for a time of solitude and waiting on the Lord was truly incredible. A theme came through fro many was Identity. God is continuing to build the foundation that is our identity in Him which all the areas of WISE flow out of!

This Prophetic WISE school is a three month program that equips students through in-depth teaching and practical application in WORSHIP, INTERCESSION, SPIRITUAL WARFARE and EVANGELISM, all with a prophetic edge. Through all of this, we hope to see our students learn how essential these elements are in their every day lives, in Christian ministry, and in bringing change to all nations and all areas of society.

WISE isn't just about what you can see, but about delving into the spiritual realm, growing in intimacy with God, seeing things through His eyes, feeling things with His heart, fighting the battle so the kingdom of God can be released here on earth, hearing His voice and acting on that in every situation, worshiping Him without reservations, standing in the gap and interceding for the things on God's heart, and waging war against the enemy to take back land for the LORD!

Summer Teams 2010!

Well, this summer has been pretty busy! So far, we have already had two teams...one team from Melbourne, Florida and another team from Indianapolis, Indiana. The first team was from Melbourne Calvary Chapel, which happens to be the Heather Madsen's home church. Their fearless leaders Julio and Mike, brought a new group of Middle Schoolers to Mazatlan, Mexico to minister in the colonias and do some evangelism at the Dolphins/ Flagpole area. What an amazing group of young people they were! All

Building Strong Foundations...

The coffee and cookies were served, people were seated, and as the call for sharing homework was made, shy whisperings and laughter were heard around the room. It was the third week of meeting together with the married couples of Colonia Sinaloa. Each week the co…

Hope for Haiti

In light of everything that has been going on in Haiti after the earthquake, Haiti has truly been on our hearts. After the hurricanes there in 2008, we sent an outreach team to work with the YWAM bases in the country. They had the opportunity to serve the YWAMers and Haitian people, help with hurricane relief work, and make lasting connections with the people of Haiti. Then, in the May of 2009, we received an outreach team from YWAM Haiti St. Marc that stayed with us for a few weeks. They shared…

Carnaval 2010!

Well, Carnaval is just around the corner and we are getting pumped for another year of celebrating God's love by reaching out to all the party-goers of Mazatlan's annual Carnaval. The festival begins on February 11th and ends on the 16th. There is a lot to plan, so we will keep you posted as it all unfolds. Please keep us in your prayers as we prepare for the event.

Mexico City Outreach

The outreach team in Mexico City has been busy reaching out to the masses in bold and relevant ways. They have seen God's hand at work through the joining of churches uniting together to reach out to the people of their city and they have had the chance to help the Haitian embassy in Mexico after the earthquake in Haiti. They have had opportunities to work in two different high schools where they have been able to go into the classrooms and share all about God and the importance of knowing Him.…
