- I did my DTS here in Jan 2006 and came back on staff in August 2008 after college. MY job for the past year has been managing the website and overseeing marketing an promotional materials for the base. Its a pretty great job, which I love, but its coming up time for another season of life.
My boyfriend Tim came down here last January for his DTS and we got engaged last July!! We went home this past August to get married on October 17, 2009 and spend a few months back in Canada getting settled into being married. We're both planning on coming back here on staff in the new year but we are totally open to wherever God leads us. So who knows where we'll end up!!
God's so amazing and He's been so faithful to walk me through the ups and downs of life. I never would have made it through without Him!!!!
I love my work down here and my friends...ahh, they are SO incredible. As excited as I was to go home and get married, I really miss seeing them every day and look forward to the day I can see them again.

Summer Teams 2010!
Well, this summer has been pretty busy! So far, we have already had two teams...one team from Melbourne, Florida and another team from Indianapolis, Indiana. The first team was from Melbourne Calvary Chapel, which happens to be the Heather Madsen's home church. Their fearless leaders Julio and Mike, brought a new group of Middle Schoolers to Mazatlan, Mexico to minister in the colonias and do some evangelism at the Dolphins/ Flagpole area. Hope for Haiti
In light of everything that has been going on in Haiti after the earthquake, Haiti has truly been on our hearts. After the hurricanes there in 2008, we sent an outreach team to work with the YWAM bases in the country. They had the opportunity to serve the YWAMers and Haitian people, help with hurricane relief work, and make lasting connections with the people of Haiti. Then, in the May of 2009, we received an outreach team from YWAM Haiti St. Marc that stayed with us for a few weeks. They shared…Carnaval 2010!
Well, Carnaval is just around the corner and we are getting pumped for another year of celebrating God's love by reaching out to all the party-goers of Mazatlan's annual Carnaval. The festival begins on February 11th and ends on the 16th. There is a lot to plan, so we will keep you posted as it all unfolds. Please keep us in your prayers as we prepare for the event.Mexico City Outreach
The outreach team in Mexico City has been busy reaching out to the masses in bold and relevant ways. They have seen God's hand at work through the joining of churches uniting together to reach out to the people of their city and they have had the chance to help the Haitian embassy in Mexico after the earthquake in Haiti.
