About Me
We met while we were both doing our Discipleship Training School (DTS). Isaac had just arrived from outreach in Morocco and Arey was starting her DTS. We plan to continue to live in Mazatlan & work for YWAM Mazatlan.
We got married the 20th of March 2009. And the wedding was amazing, God did many miracles in provision for our wedding & honeymoon!! It's was so special to share that important day with our family, friends & ywammers!
Our heart is to reach out people that haven't heard the gospel before, to disciple them & to have an intimate relationship with God.

January Discpling & Training School 2010

Cassandra Cavin, Lupita Hernández, Isaac & I (Arey) are leading the Jan DTS 2010. For the 1st time in the history of YWAM Mazatlán we have a school of all girls!! (we just had a one boy in the lecture phase) Something also peculiar that we didn't see in other DTSs was that half of the students speak english & the other half spanish. What a blessing it's been having bilingual staff & that we all can communicate with them.

Since January and untill the 18th of April of this year we were leading the lecture phase of the school. Each week we all were challenged with the different topics that we had. Some of them were Hearing God's Voice, Nature & character of God, Spiritual Warfare, Evangelism and others. It was a time of growth in our knowldege & also character...now the students are on outreach completing the 2nd part of the DTS!! To practice what they have learned in classes..."To Know God & Make Him Known".

Spouse Visa

After several months of translating documents, filing paperwork, and making lots of copies we are almost finished! So far we have filed all the necessary paperwork for Arey’s visa to go to the U.S. We are just waiting for the last part, the interview! Please pray in agreement with us for favor and grace with the U.S embassy.

Hey Arey! Thanks for your message-you love to dance too? Cool! I love dancing and am currently involved in dance ministry and teaching dance at church. Its so exciting to communicate a message without words and across languages! How long have you and your husband been in Mazatlan? I'm really hoping to come and have now faxed off my application... : )

Summer Teams 2010!

Well, this summer has been pretty busy! So far, we have already had two teams...one team from Melbourne, Florida and another team from Indianapolis, Indiana. The first team was from Melbourne Calvary Chapel, which happens to be the Heather Madsen's home church. Their fearless leaders Julio and Mike, brought a new group of Middle Schoolers to Mazatlan, Mexico to minister in the colonias and do some evangelism at the Dolphins/ Flagpole area. What an amazing group of young people they were! All

Building Strong Foundations...

The coffee and cookies were served, people were seated, and as the call for sharing homework was made, shy whisperings and laughter were heard around the room. It was the third week of meeting together with the married couples of Colonia Sinaloa. Each week the co…

Hope for Haiti

In light of everything that has been going on in Haiti after the earthquake, Haiti has truly been on our hearts. After the hurricanes there in 2008, we sent an outreach team to work with the YWAM bases in the country. They had the opportunity to serve the YWAMers and Haitian people, help with hurricane relief work, and make lasting connections with the people of Haiti. Then, in the May of 2009, we received an outreach team from YWAM Haiti St. Marc that stayed with us for a few weeks. They shared…

Carnaval 2010!

Well, Carnaval is just around the corner and we are getting pumped for another year of celebrating God's love by reaching out to all the party-goers of Mazatlan's annual Carnaval. The festival begins on February 11th and ends on the 16th. There is a lot to plan, so we will keep you posted as it all unfolds. Please keep us in your prayers as we prepare for the event.

Mexico City Outreach

The outreach team in Mexico City has been busy reaching out to the masses in bold and relevant ways. They have seen God's hand at work through the joining of churches uniting together to reach out to the people of their city and they have had the chance to help the Haitian embassy in Mexico after the earthquake in Haiti. They have had opportunities to work in two different high schools where they have been able to go into the classrooms and share all about God and the importance of knowing Him.…
