You will need to apply for a six-month tourist visa. You can pick up a form at the travel agency issuing your tickets, on the airplane, at the border if travelling by car, or from any Mexican consulate.
To apply for a tourist visa you will need proof of citizenship, which needs to be in the form of a valid passport.
Although this Visa can potentially be valid for 180 days, it is at the discretion of the Immigration officer. Usually the visa is approved for a maximum period of 90 days if you arrive in Mexico by plane, however, it can be renewed for an additional 90 days at any Mexican Immigration office. If you are crossing the border by car you are able to request the full 180 days.
There is no guarantee that the full 180 days will be given. This can also be renewed for additional time at any Mexican Immigration Office. Our advice is to do all that you can to obtain your visa before you get on the plane. This will mean contacting the Mexican Embassy and applying for a visa with them.
The following countries are eligible to receive tourist entry visas upon arrival into both the United States and Mexico:
Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, San Marino, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom and the United States.
If you are from a country that is NOT listed above, you will be required to obtain an entry visa to either/both the United States and Mexico prior to arrival.
* PLEASE DO NOT DISCARD THE CARD THAT YOU RECEIVE AT IMMIGRATION. THIS IS YOUR VISA AND WILL NEED TO BE PRESENTED WHEN YOU EXIT THE COUNTRY.

Well, this summer has been pretty busy! So far, we have already had two teams...one team from Melbourne, Florida and another team from Indianapolis, Indiana. The first team was from Melbourne Calvary Chapel, which happens to be the Heather Madsen's home church. Their fearless leaders Julio and Mike, brought a new group of Middle Schoolers to Mazatlan, Mexico to minister in the colonias and do some evangelism at the Dolphins/ Flagpole area.
