YWAM Mazatlan's leading mercy ministry, Homes of Hope, was launched in 2006 in order to provide adequate housing for needy families. The vision is not only to build a home for a family in need, but to also lay a foundation in their lives for God to further build upon. By working with local churches in these poor communities, YWAM Mazatlan is able to ensure that the physical and spiritual needs of the people are met. Throughout the year YWAM Mazatlan coordinates the construction of these homes, built in only 3 days, by using short term outreach teams.
- To date, 43 homes have been built and more than 400 people have worked in these poor areas.
