Finances - DTS Fees and Categories

YWAM Mazatlan is called to be 'international'. We believe that it is part of God's calling on us, and so want to offer schools and courses that will be available to all people, from all nations and areas of society.

In our efforts to achieve this, we have sought to adopt an economic policy that is just and fair. It is based off the International Financial Scale that can be found in the University of the Nations Reference Guide 2000.

As an applicant you will come under one of two categories; Category A and Category B & C.

Countries included in Category A:

  • Australia
  • Canada
  • Europe
  • New Zealand
  • United Kingdom
  • United States.

Countries included in Category B & C:

  • Central American Nations
  • Asia (*excluding Japan, Singapore and South Korea)
  • Mexico
  • Pacific Islands
  • South American Nations
  • Africa

(These lists are not exhaustive, so if your country does not appear here, and you are wondering what category you fit under, please contact us and we will let you know.)

Lecture fees - These fees cover all living expenses as well as tuition.

Category A ($USD) $3,100 USD
Category B ($MXN) $12,500 MXN

*Prices subject to change every six months.
Applicants from countries outside of Mexico that fall under Category B can also pay their lecture phase fee with USD dollars. The price in USD dollars will be determined by the then current exchange rate from the listed MXN amount.

Outreach Fees

Outreach within Mexico (same for Category A & B) between $16,000 and $20,000 (MXN) pesos
Overseas outreach (same for Category A & B) airfare and ground fees between $25,000 and $45,000 (MXN) pesos. Costs will vary depending on airline tickets and location.

N.B. Outreach fees are set as close as possible to actual costs. If for any reason money is remaining after the outreach is completed and all expenses are paid, this money will be invested back into YWAM Mazatlan for future projects.

Summer Teams 2010!

Well, this summer has been pretty busy! So far, we have already had two teams...one team from Melbourne, Florida and another team from Indianapolis, Indiana. The first team was from Melbourne Calvary Chapel, which happens to be the Heather Madsen's home church. Their fearless leaders Julio and Mike, brought a new group of Middle Schoolers to Mazatlan, Mexico to minister in the colonias and do some evangelism at the Dolphins/ Flagpole area. What an amazing group of young people they were! All

Building Strong Foundations...

The coffee and cookies were served, people were seated, and as the call for sharing homework was made, shy whisperings and laughter were heard around the room. It was the third week of meeting together with the married couples of Colonia Sinaloa. Each week the co…

Hope for Haiti

In light of everything that has been going on in Haiti after the earthquake, Haiti has truly been on our hearts. After the hurricanes there in 2008, we sent an outreach team to work with the YWAM bases in the country. They had the opportunity to serve the YWAMers and Haitian people, help with hurricane relief work, and make lasting connections with the people of Haiti. Then, in the May of 2009, we received an outreach team from YWAM Haiti St. Marc that stayed with us for a few weeks. They shared…

Carnaval 2010!

Well, Carnaval is just around the corner and we are getting pumped for another year of celebrating God's love by reaching out to all the party-goers of Mazatlan's annual Carnaval. The festival begins on February 11th and ends on the 16th. There is a lot to plan, so we will keep you posted as it all unfolds. Please keep us in your prayers as we prepare for the event.

Mexico City Outreach

The outreach team in Mexico City has been busy reaching out to the masses in bold and relevant ways. They have seen God's hand at work through the joining of churches uniting together to reach out to the people of their city and they have had the chance to help the Haitian embassy in Mexico after the earthquake in Haiti. They have had opportunities to work in two different high schools where they have been able to go into the classrooms and share all about God and the importance of knowing Him.…
